2. Your dashboard

Find the launch meter, and understand why the setup steps are in the order they are

Step 2: Your dashboard

Orientation. Your dashboard has a lot on it, and exactly one part of it matters today.

What to do

  1. Find the Launch your store meter. It shows a percentage and how many steps are left before you can take real bookings.
  2. Underneath it, find the Set up your store card.
  3. Work its rows from the top down: Add your name, Configure your store defaults, Create your first rental, Take a test booking, then Go live.

Why that order

It is not alphabetical and it is not a suggestion. Settings sits above inventory because your deposit, tax, pricing and waiver defaults pre-fill the inventory wizard. Build your fleet first and you will be typing the same numbers onto every item you own.

Stripe is the one input whose clock you do not control, which is why step 19 is worth starting on your first day even though it sits near the end of this guide.

Watch out for

Go live is disabled until the steps above it are done

Hover it and it tells you so. The whole card disappears once onboarding is complete, which is expected rather than a bug.

You are done when

You know where the launch meter is and what is left on it.
