20. Go live

Switch the location live, and know exactly what is kept and what is cleared

Step 20: Go live

The switch. Short, and worth reading before you press it.

What is kept and what is cleared

That is the point of it. Your real books start at zero.

What to do

  1. On the Dashboard, click Go live.
  2. Read What happens when you go live, then Continue.
  3. If Stripe is not done yet, pick your Country and Connect Stripe. If you already started, Continue resumes that same account and skips the country question.
  4. Finish Stripe's onboarding, then click Refresh Status.
  5. When the banner reads Stripe is ready, click Go live.
"Waiting for Stripe..." is a queue, not an error

The button stays disabled until the account is charge-ready. Clicking early only tells you Stripe still needs to verify it. There is nothing to fix.

The setup card disappears afterwards, because you are not setting up any more.

Before you open: the short list

Each of these is something an operator has got wrong on a real opening day.

  • Time zone is correct
  • Inventory quantities match reality
  • Stripe payouts are enabled, not merely connected
  • You have received a confirmation email yourself
  • A staff member who is not you has completed a booking
  • Your waiver is the version your insurer approved
  • Tax rates are right, and inclusive versus exclusive matches local convention
  • Your cancellation policy is written and visible at checkout
