Step 12: Pricing, part one: seasons
Every price lives inside a season. Peak, shoulder and off-season are three seasons on one item, not three items.
How a price is found
What to do
Fleet & Tours > Fleet > Pricing Studio.
- Click the item name button in the top bar and pick the item to price.
- On the year timeline, click the season +.
- In When, set Starts and Ends.
- Tick Repeats every year so it returns next year on its own.
- Type the season's name over Season name.
- Click Save in the top bar. It reads Saved when nothing is pending.
Repeat until your whole trading year is covered.
Watch out for
A winter season needs Repeats every year
A season that runs November into March ends before it starts as far as a single year is concerned, and saving fails with "end date is before its start date". Ticking Repeats every year is what makes a season that wraps the New Year valid.
- Seasons may not overlap. The error reads "Season dates overlap with an existing season".
- The name is the identity. Two seasons cannot share one.
- A one-day closure inside a season is a date override, not a second season. That is step 14.
- A date with no season has no price, and an item with no price cannot be booked.
You are done when
Your trading year is covered end to end by seasons, with no gaps and no overlaps.
