Signing up takes about a minute, needs no card, and costs nothing.
Before you start
An email address you can open right now. That is all.
What to do
- On rentaltide.com, click Start for $0 in the top right.
- Enter your email address.
- Select your country.
- Open the email, and enter the six digit verification code.
- Click Verify & create account.
- Set a password.
- Two-factor authentication is offered here. You can skip it now and switch it on later, though it is worth doing while you are sitting here.
Watch out for
What the country on this form does
It decides whether you can set yourself up on your own. RentalTide operates in 46 countries, and ten of them need us to help you onboard, so picking one of those routes you to our team through Request access rather than into a flow that cannot finish.
It is not what sets your payout currency. That is chosen separately when you create your Stripe account, at step 19, and that one cannot be edited afterwards.
Your account is not your location
Signing up creates your account. The place customers actually collect from is a location, with its own hours, taxes and Stripe account. That is step 5.
You are done when
You are signed in and looking at your dashboard.
