The Tour Hub is the one screen your tour business lives on. Instead of hunting for tour products in Fleet, the planner under Availability, quotes in your inbox, waitlists inside a manifest, and captains under Staffing, everything is gathered under a single sidebar entry with tabs across the top. It opens at /tours.
The hub is a lens over the tools you already had — nothing about how bookings, pricing, or payments work changes. It just puts the whole tour operation in front of you at once.
The tabs
The hub has six tabs. The first, Overview, is the default landing screen; the rest are one click away.
| Tab | What it is for |
|---|---|
| Overview | The command center: this week's numbers, an attention strip of things that need you, and today's departures |
| Schedule | The availability planner (day, week, and month calendar) for viewing and editing every departure |
| Planner | The recurring-schedule view: how often each tour runs, how far ahead it is scheduled, and a one-click extend |
| Products | Your tour catalog — create and edit tour products |
| Demand | Quote requests to answer and everyone waiting on a seat |
| Crew | The Captain Network: your roster, the open-job board, and captain earnings |
Deep screens still open full-size and link back to the hub: click any departure to open its full departure page, and use Tour Hub in its header to return.
Overview
The Overview tab answers "what needs me right now, and how is the week going."
The numbers
Four cards summarize the next seven days at the selected location:
| Card | Shows |
|---|---|
| Departures | How many departures are running this week, and how many are today |
| Fill rate | Seats sold against total capacity, as a percentage |
| Collected | Money already collected across those departures |
| Outstanding | Money still owed, and how many departures carry a balance |
Needs attention
Below the numbers is a strip of things worth acting on. Each row shows a count, links straight to the screen that fixes it, and, where it makes sense, names the specific departures. Rows only appear when there is something to show; when everything is clear the strip simply says so.
| Attention row | Appears when | Sends you to |
|---|---|---|
| Weather hold | A departure is flagged by its weather policy | Tour Weather Call |
| Below minimum | A departure inside 72 hours has fewer bookings than its minimum | Schedule |
| Uncrewed | A departure inside 48 hours has guests aboard but no assigned staff | Crew |
| Balance owing today | A departure leaving today still has money owed on it | Schedule |
| Running out of departures | A recurring tour has fewer than 10 days of departures generated ahead | Planner |
| Open captain jobs | Captain jobs are posted and still unfilled | Crew |
| New quote requests | Request-to-book inquiries are waiting for a reply | Demand |
| Guests waiting | People are on a tour waitlist | Demand |
Today
A timeline of today's departures, each with its start time, a capacity bar, how many guests are aboard, what has been collected, and a chip if a balance is due. Click any row to open that departure's full page.
Quick-action buttons at the top let you jump to a new tour product, add a departure, or open the weather call.
Planner
The Planner is where you look after the future of the schedule. For every tour it shows the recurring pattern in plain English ("Every Fri, Sat, Sun" or "Hourly from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM"), its departure times, and — the important part — how far ahead the schedule is actually generated.
Guests can only book departures that exist, so a recurring tour that has only been generated a few days out will quietly stop selling past that date. The Planner surfaces this with a colored indicator and a warning banner, and gives you an Extend schedule button that generates the next stretch of departures on the spot. A summary at the top counts how many recurring tours you have and how many need scheduling.
The Planner shows the departures that have actually been created, not a simulation — so what you see is exactly what guests can book. To change how often a tour runs, use Edit pattern, which takes you to the tour product where the recurrence is configured.
Tours that don't repeat show as "One-off departures only" with their upcoming booked departures listed. They have no schedule to extend — you add their departures by hand from the Schedule tab.
Demand
The Demand tab is where future revenue is waiting.
Quote requests are request-to-book inquiries from guests who asked about a private or custom trip. Filter by New, Quoted, or All. Open one to see the party size, requested date, and their message, then Respond with a message and an optional price — the quote is emailed to the guest, and nothing is saved unless the email actually sends. You can also decline a request or close one you have finished with.
Tour waitlists list everyone waiting on a seat, grouped by tour. Waitlists fill automatically when a departure sells out, so this is your view of the demand you couldn't seat yet.
Schedule, Products, and Crew
These three tabs mount tools documented in their own pages, now living inside the hub:
- Schedule is the availability calendar — see the day, week, and month views, edit capacity, open and close departures, and close out ranges of dates.
- Products is the tour catalog — create tour products and edit their pricing, resources, recurrence, deposits, weather policy, and lifecycle settings.
- Crew is the Captain Network — invite captains, post open-slot jobs, and mark captain earnings paid.
Where the old pages went
If you used the older, scattered tour pages, here is where they are now:
| You used to open | Now |
|---|---|
| Availability | Tour Hub → Schedule (the old /availability link still works) |
| Captain Network | Tour Hub → Crew (the old /captains link still works) |
| Tour Weather Call | Still its own page, reachable from Overview's quick actions and the sidebar |
| Tour Manifest | Unchanged, at /manifest |
The sidebar now shows a single Tour Hub entry instead of separate Availability and Captain Network links.
Sharing a departure
From a departure's full page, Copy booking link produces a link like yoursite.com/tour/… that you can text or email to a guest. Opening it shows a clean landing page for that exact departure — the tour name, date, time, seats left — with a button that drops the guest straight into your booking flow with the tour preselected. If the departure has been cancelled, has already left, is closed, or is full, the landing page explains that and points the guest to your other departures instead of dead-ending.
