Promo Banners

Scheduled announcement bars at the top of your booking page, with colours, an optional link, and start and end dates

Promo Banners

A promo banner is a coloured strip across the top of your public booking page. Use it for a sale, a seasonal notice, a closure, or anything customers should see before they pick a date.

Banners are scoped to one location. With All Locations selected the page asks you to pick a specific one first.

Creating a banner

Marketing > Promo Banners, then Add banner.

FieldNotes
Banner messageThe text. Required, and the only thing customers are guaranteed to read
Link URLOptional. Makes the banner clickable
Link textOptional label for the link. Defaults to "Learn More"
Background colourDefaults to indigo
Text colourDefaults to white
Start dateRequired
End dateRequired
EnabledOff leaves it configured but hidden

Both dates are required, so every banner has an end. A sale banner cannot outlive its sale by accident.

Check the contrast

Both colours are yours to set, and nothing stops you choosing a pale text on a pale background. Look at the result on your own booking page before leaving it up, especially on a phone in sunlight, which is where most of your customers will see it.

Status

The list labels each banner:

StatusMeaning
ActiveEnabled and inside its dates. Customers see it now
ScheduledEnabled, start date not reached
ExpiredEnd date passed
DisabledSwitched off regardless of dates

Each row also shows its date range and where it links.

Use Turn off and Turn on to toggle without losing the wording, which is easier than rebuilding a banner you run every season.

More than one at a time

Every banner that is enabled and inside its date range shows. If several qualify, the bar rotates through them every six seconds with a counter showing the position.

Two or three read fine. Six do not: a customer would have to watch the top of your page for half a minute to see them all.

Customers can dismiss the bar. It stays dismissed for that browsing session and returns on their next visit.

Deleting

Deletion is immediate and permanent. The confirmation says so:

{banner text} stops showing on your booking widget immediately. This cannot be undone: you would have to create it again.

There is no archive and no restore. For a banner you run every year, Turn off rather than delete.

Where banners do not appear

The banner is part of the public booking page. It does not appear in confirmation emails, on the next-steps page, in the POS, or in the staff app.

For messages attached to a booking rather than to your storefront, use email templates or text templates.
