RentalTide Lite
Lite is RentalTide's booking engine and a free website, in a much simpler app, for small businesses: lawn care and home services, equipment hire, bike rental, and kayak and paddle shops.
It costs $19 a month plus 1% per booking, and nothing at all until your first sale. Card processing is billed separately at your local rate, the same as on the Free plan.
What Lite includes
- A website, written for you at signup, on a rentaltide.com address. Connecting your own domain is free.
- An online booking page and a booking widget.
- Card payments, paid into your bank through Stripe.
- Confirmation, reminder and cancellation emails and texts, with wording you can change.
- Refunds and reschedules from the booking.
- A basic waiver customers sign online after they book.
- Jobs at the customer's address, with a service area.
- Up to 10 listings, 1 location and 2 logins, with unlimited bookings.
What Lite leaves out
POS and card terminals, staff scheduling, tours, Waiver Studio and more than one waiver, check-in, memberships, gift cards, marketing campaigns, channels and OTAs, dynamic pricing, accounting and Xero, Capital, the AI phone and Copilot.
All of them are on the full platform, which is free at 4.9% per booking. Upgrading is one click in Settings > Plan, and nothing is moved or deleted. See Plan, limits and upgrading.
Is Lite right for you?
Lite suits a small business taking up to $50,000 a year through RentalTide that needs a booking page, payments and a website, and nothing more.
For a full year after your first sale, Lite costs $228 in monthly fees plus 1% of your bookings, and Free costs 4.9%. At $10,000 a year that is $328 on Lite against $490 on Free. At $25,000 it is $478 against $1,225, and at $50,000 it is $728 against $2,450. Below about $5,850 a year, Free costs less, and so does any business that needs a feature Lite does not have.
How to start on Lite
Sign up at app.rentaltide.com/signup. The first screen asks whether you want RentalTide Lite or the full platform. Pick Lite, then follow the five steps in Getting started.
Already on the Free plan? Go to Settings > Subscription and choose Check if Lite fits. The check lists anything you use today that Lite does not include. If nothing stands in the way, an owner or admin can move the account to Lite there.
