The Claude connector brings your RentalTide business into Claude. Ask Claude to check tomorrow's bookings, look up a customer, see what's available, create a booking, adjust a pricing season, update a location setting, add an FAQ to your AI chat, or edit your website — all in natural language.
It works with Claude on the web, desktop, and Claude Code, on Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise plans.
Claude never moves money. The connector cannot take payments, issue refunds, or transfer funds. Payment always stays in RentalTide. When something needs a charge, Claude tells you to finish it in the app.
What you can do
Ask about your business (read-only):
- Bookings — list, search, and view details
- Customers — search and view
- Inventory and availability — what you rent and when it's free
- A revenue and bookings summary
Make changes (each one is confirmed in Claude before it happens, and recorded):
- Create a walk-up (on-the-spot) booking
- Create a scheduled booking for a specific future date and time
- Create and edit pricing seasons and add-ons
- Update location settings
- Build your AI chat knowledge base (FAQ and info entries)
- Edit your Boardwalk website content

Getting connected
Setup takes about three minutes — you add RentalTide as a custom connector in Claude, then sign in to approve it. Follow Set up the Claude connector.
Safety and privacy
The connector is built so an AI assistant can help with day-to-day work without becoming a risk to your data or your money.
- You approve exactly what it can do. During setup you review and grant a specific set of permissions. Claude can only use the ones you approve, and you can reconnect later to add or remove them.
- Your data only. A connection is bound to your business. Claude can never see or change another business's bookings, customers, or settings — every lookup and change is checked against your account.
- Changes are confirmed. Claude asks before making any change, and shows you what it's about to do.
- No money movement. The connector has no ability to charge cards, refund, or move funds.
- Everything is logged. Every change Claude makes is recorded and shown to you in Integrations → Claude → Recent Claude Activity — the tool used, when, and whether it succeeded. Read-only lookups aren't listed there; only changes.
- Safe by construction. Repeated changes can't accidentally double-apply, there are daily limits on how much can change through the connector, and your team can pause or remove the connection instantly.

Turning it off
Remove the connector any time from Claude → Settings → Connectors, or revoke it from RentalTide's Integrations page. Removing it stops all access immediately.
