Connecting RentalTide to Claude takes about three minutes. You'll add RentalTide as a custom connector in Claude, then sign in to RentalTide to approve it.
Before you start
- A RentalTide account with the Integrations permission.
- A Claude plan that supports connectors — Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise.
- Be signed in to RentalTide (app.rentaltide.com) in the same browser you'll use to connect, so the approval screen loads.
You can find your connection details any time in RentalTide under Integrations → Claude.
Connect it
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and click Add custom connector.
Name:
RentalTideServer URL:
Expand Advanced settings and set the OAuth Client ID to:
Leave the OAuth Client Secret blank.
For Connection method, choose Individual sign-in — each person connects with their own RentalTide account.
Click Add. Claude sends you to RentalTide to sign in and review the permissions. Approve them.
That's it. Claude loads the RentalTide tools and you can start asking.
Reviewing permissions
On the approval screen you'll see the specific things the connector is asking to do — reading bookings, customers, inventory and reports, and (with your approval) creating bookings and managing pricing, settings, your knowledge base, and your website. Approve only what you want Claude to help with; you can change this later by reconnecting.
Getting new capabilities later
As RentalTide adds new Claude tools, they may require a permission you haven't granted yet. If a newly added tool doesn't appear, reconnect the connector once — remove it and add it again (or use Claude's re-authorize option) — and approve the updated permissions. Existing tools keep working in the meantime.
Troubleshooting
The approval screen won't load / spins. Make sure you're signed in to RentalTide at app.rentaltide.com in the same browser, then try connecting again.
"Authorization failed." Double-check the Server URL is exactly https://v3.api.rentaltide.com/mcp and the Client ID is exactly rentaltide_claude with the secret left blank.
A tool you expected is missing. It may need a permission your current connection doesn't have. Reconnect and approve the updated permissions (see above).
